EducationCalifornia State University Long Beach - B.S, Biology-chemistry
ExperienceI currently hold two associate's degrees, both in Chemistry and in Natural Science and Math. My Bachelor of Science from California State University is in Biology, with a concentration in Physiology. My next educational steps are for me to continue on track towards becoming a physician. STEM tutoring is one of my favorite subjects due to my interest in the field. As a person who has worked in a laboratory, I have a applied experience that enables my ability to explain scientific procedures and processes. I am capable of tutoring students in AP science courses, as well as students from disadvantaged backgrounds that need some one-on-one tutoring aid. My personal learning theory is that students need to ask "why?", in order to become a truly knowledgeable and innovative person. The simple question "why?" contains the necessary curiosity that is imperative for a lifelong love and appreciation of science. Along with tutoring, I volunteer at hospitals and perform research on a regular basis. I am also currently in preparation to begin studying for an MD at Baylor University. In some of my spare time, I spend time with my fiancé and puppy watching our favorite movies, plus I play the guitar.
HobbiesI play guitar and watch a lot of movies with my dog and fiance.
